FYI... just installed the Sony SATA Blu-ray Burner BD-5300S in my Dell i7 running 64-bit Windows and 64-bit Vegas Pro 10d. I bought the OEM version from NewEgg for $99 (had to buy the SATA cable for $3 and I also (unnecessarily) bought a $2 SATA power cord converter. Turned out my machine had one available. The drive even came with five blank BDs for free.
Installation was completely effortless. The computer immediately downloaded drivers. And Nero 9 recognized the drive and I burned my first Blu-ray project directly from the Vegas timeline.
It's nice when things work out like this. Anyway, if anyone is thinking about buying this BD burner, do so with some confidence.
