Not sure if everyone has seen this.. Could not find a post here.. Anyway here is a NAB wrap-up interview with a Sony Vice President
and he touches on Sony Vegas and some possble changes/updates for Vegas.. Interesting reading..

I didn't get the sense that Mr. Shapiro was all that familiar with what the interviewer was asking, at least in terms of the Vegas/Xpri questions. I didn't know that Xpri was based on the Targa 3200, that is interesting.

I think it be nice if Xpri could wear a Vegas interface, not the other way around. If that later happened I'd have to jump ship. Of course they are aimed at different markets, but I saw the Xpri interface and I wasn't impressed. Vegas just has that *something* that makes it nice to work with.

Just remember, the xpri has a lot of special hardware that it works with. xpri is not just software.

I saw it in action with XDCAM, all I can say is 'I want one'.
Sadly even though it's come down in price a lot it's still way out of my league unless I could find the work for it.
