OT: Sorrenson Squeeze Comp Suite (help)

If someone has this program I would appreciate a bit of help on rendering in Quicktime while maintaining the original aspect ratio of the original file.

Problem:

When I import an MPEG 2 file rendered from Vegas in NTSC 16:9 widescreen, Sorenson displays the video in the preview window at 4:3 but stretched to contain everything contained in the video without cropping left or right - makes people tall and skinny.

When I chose say Quicktime 512KB Stream and select maintain aspect ratio the rendered QT file matches that of the preview 4:3 stretched. When I go in to the advanced settings and choose 16:9 (cropping) it crops the video in the preview winhdow but I don't want a crop - I want to simply export a smaller 320ish pixel version of my NTSC DVD widescreen file.

I cannot figure this out - it must be a problem with the import feature. I have sent support an email but have had no response and I need to get this project done.

If someone has a good Vegas/Squeeze workflow for FX1/Z1U HD files to DVD 16:9 Widescreen and subsequent compression for multimedia (size) output to web I would appreciate the help.

Feel free to contact me by email as to not clutter the forum.

Thanks,
Duncan
