What $99 special? Is that only for previous owners of Sound Forge?
Grazie wrote on 10/24/2003, 1:30 AM
Dunno about $99!

Have seen this - " Upgrade Sound Forge to Sound Forge 7.0 – from $149.95 Upgrade any previous Sound Forge software to Sound Forge 7.0. " here!

. . . I do like the " . . any . . " comment though!

I don't know the criteria used for their offers, but I was *not* a previous Sound Forge owner, but they sent me an e-mail for the $99 offer.

Now, I am a Sound Forge owner...

This is rediculous. I own VV and they send me a deal where I can buy SF and get a free copy of Screenblast ACID 4.0 or Screenblast Movie Studio. If I own VV what am I going to do with MS?

Am I allowed to sell it or even give it away?

But hey SF 7 for USD 99, I'd be in that. Nice gift to us loyal VV users.

Yes, the $99 SF7 offer was the upgrade offer and expires on 10/31. My problem with the download was due to my firewall.... had to turn off my spyware filter and flush my IE temp files to get the download....

I found out the hard way that the upgrade is only for XP users. I still have ME so the upgrade would not work. There was no reference to this fact on the upgrade offer. I'm still waiting for the refund to show up on my credit card.

Whoa.... that IS nasty.... I just looked at the min system reqs and you are right... need to have W2000 or XP. I wasn't aware of that, either, but I did upgrade from ME to XP about 3 months ago.

Hope you get the credit soon!!!!

How do I take advantage of that upgrade offer. I don't see it online. I'm a registered owner of VV2x, 3x, and 4.

Am I not on the mailing list?

Not sure, but I think you have to be a registered user of SoundForge.

You will have to enter a valid SoundForge serial number. Any version should do, but only one discount per serial number.
farss wrote on 10/25/2003, 10:08 PM
So how did someone get this WITHOUT a valid SF serial number?

Enter your VV serial number?

You would think as a VV user we'd be entitled to a better deal, they are currently offering SF at 399 PLUS a free copy of Screenblast video factory for Acid neither of which I really want.

I think that as a user of any SONY Media Software other than SoundForge, you should be eligible for the $149 pricing.
