ok, after looking around it seems there's a plethora of sync'ing programs, from m$'s synctoy through to expensive 3rd party solutions... all of which seem to offer good value / funcionality...
however, i have a situation('s) where the FILES i want to sync are in DIFFERENT folders on different drives, eg. a file might be in d:/video clips/rural/horses.m2t on one drive, and on another in f:/stock/outback/horses.m2t - same file but different folders...
it seems all the sync progs i've looked at expect the same structure on both drives? sort of folder THEN file based.
is there any FILE based prog that'll simply look for the same / missing files ignoring directory structure?
or do they do this anyway and i'm just over thinking the problem? (not unusual;-()
