Here is another new video I think you will enjoy. I really like this song, this kid has real potential. Video was shot with several Sony cameras and edited on Sony Vegas 9 Pro. Sound recorded with Sony SoundForge 9 direct from the mix.

Looking good and sounding good but a couple of suggestions if I may.

Get some lights. Four 500W parcans and a couple of stands are pretty cheap. Put some blue gells on them to match the CT of the daylight outside. Half CTB gells would be fine. I just found a set of 8 PAR64s on eBay for USD 160, stands are also absudly cheap. Just add a few shot bags.

The "house mix" is missing a lot and that's to be expected for such a small venue. Get yourself some mics of your own, even just a Rode NT4 over the drumkit would be great. Record those on their own tracks as well as the house mix and mix it in Vegas. Even the Zoom H4n can handle 4 tracks.

If you've got more than 1 camera leave one locked off on the wide and use the other one to get various pickup shots. Your wide shot is picking up a lot of visual clutter, don't be afraid to get in the way and in peoples faces a bit more. Makes friends with the sound guy, maybe if you're really nice to him you might get him to give you a stereo mix. Asking for that freaks a lot of them out so having some understanding of their kit can help e.g. "this knob here is the pan pot, can you twiddle it a bit for me" :)

Your right about the kid having a lot of talent. Sounds very good, nice tone to his voice.

Vid looks good and clean

A few sugs, not that I am anyone to sug anything but.... the text at the opening kind of cheapens the look. The back round animation is awesome, be nice to have a "whooshing sound" to accent it.

Agreed with Bob about the wide shot. Lots of clutter. If it were me I would insist on the band allowing me to shoot them somewhere else, looks like a mobile home park clubhouse. You probably didn't have anything to say about it though.

Also the close up shot cuts the drummers face in half, would have been nice to get it in or out.

nice work.

peace.
