OT: Thanks to VASST & the ReelPak team

Just finished a rough draft of a profile for a local massage school and was able to dress up some otherwise "medicinal" footage (seat-of-your-pants-no-additional-lighting-available) with VASST's ReelPaks. I own the whole series and highly recommend it as a very quick way to give your vids an extra bump. Nice thing about these (other than MUCH faster rendering times) is that they use existing Vegas track effects plugins, so tweaking is a breeze.

The video is here if anyone is interested in checking it out. (This is a rough draft.)

Very nice piece. I think they will like the warm feeling represented. The first 45 seconds are strong.

Is that a Digital Juice music select? Nice tunes.

The music was put together in Acid Pro 5 with a combination of Sony Loops and Hark Loops.

Yes, nicely put together piece.

One question - which are the ReelPaks? I have UltimatteS2 but haven't fully explored it yet -
I was looking for lower third type caption backgrounds, but saw instead some nice keyframed Text Tracking settings.

OK - Another one I can add to my "I wanna do it like that" collection - Really nice piece!

WOW! Impressive. Professional work is always so inspirational. This is a great example of how talented content arrangement and video editing tools can really enhance the message. My daughter is training to be a massage therapist in the South Florida area and I'm sure she would love to take a look at this school. Very effective video. Thanks for sharing. By the way, about how many hours of actual post production (story forming, editing, etc.) did it take to get to this point?
Thanks,
Randy

Outstanding video! I was mostly watching camera angles and really enjoyed how well you told the story with stills and video. Which ReelPaks did you use?

You are thinking of the GrafPaks. ReelPaks are the Film Look presets.

Wow...that is really good! I feel like signing up for classes after watching that.

If I could create a "rough draft " as good as that I probably wouldn't bother trying to improve it.

It's excellent. The school will be overwhelmed with applicants.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm happy with it so far.

The b-roll & stills had a tweaked version of Not Quite Golden (RP4) on them (I just had to adjust the color curves on some of the clips to either boost the lows or turn down the highs). Smoo've (RP5) was used on the interview segments.

Total editing time into it at this point is about 12 hours.

DJ, I just tested the download, it's working fine from here? You have to register (free) to download or view content on the site.

I couldn't download either, but went back one directory and got a listing. There is a file there named main05.wmv, while the original link is pointing to main02.wmv.

...and after all that, Windows Media Player won't play main05.wmv. :(

I'll just be over here lurkin' ....
