OT: The annoying "email" message

How does one get rid of this red message that comes up every time you visit these forums now? The one that asks you to check your user settings and than verify your email. I have done this now every time I come to the forums...you would think that once would be enough.

For me 10 or 20 tries seemed to work just fine.

Now I kind of miss them. I have no Idea why they went away.

You should be happy that they are doing a security check routinely.

If you have cookies enabled and retain them for this site, you shouldn't be asked as long as that cookie remains on your drive.

I have cookies automatically dumped when i close my browser, which i do rarely. About the only time i see that message is the first time i come in here after rebooting my computer.

Chien has it right on. If you don't have cookies enabled, or if you dump them, or if your security level is set too high for your useage style, you will be asked to verify every time.

On the other hand, I don't mind. Nice of Sony to clean house.

I do have java turned on. I do have cookies on. Etc.
It comes on, than it comes on again..and again. After about 3 times is goes away. Last night for example it was fine until this afternoon when it came on again. Than after about, oh say 3 hours, I had to do it again. Than it happened again which is when I posted this.

Just seems random.
