There are certain TV shows I like to copy, but it seems as time moves on, more and more TV stations are adding 'News Scrolls' to the picture. This tip is not perfection, just the fastest way I've discovered how to get around them. I've tried masking and it's very hard on rendering. No use in 'tiling them out' because you can still tell something is moving on the screen. I've used 'Pan & Crop' and it looks lousy, plus you have to cut off the sides and top. The least taxing way, that will at least cover it up, is to use 'Insert text media'. Use the 'underline' mark on the 'hyphen' key (Ariel), Type in the size (highest listed is 504, but I type in 900. You might have to go up in increments or it'll disappear off the page. Use 'Placement' tab to keep it on the page.) In the 'Properties' tab, make the line black. In the 'Effects' tab, choose 'Enable deformation' and then from drop down, 'Compress Horizontally'. Between the 'Placement' tab and the 'Compress Horizontally' slider, you can now adjust the 'bar' to perfectly cover the News Scroll. Now give it a title and save it. It's easy to adjust, now that it's saved, so you can use it on almost any News Scroll. Being made with text, makes rendering much faster. I'm sure I'm not the 1st person who's thought of this, but I haven't seen it mentioned before. Hope this is worth something to somebody.
OT This is a quick tip for eliminating 'News Scrolls'
