OT: To Vegas training providers

Thinking about the whole HDV thing and how Vegas 6 is being positioned around it, when can we expect some HD versions of training? Would love to see some of Gary's stuff in 720p and Spot's as well.

Not really sure how else it would be delivered (i.e WM9 HD or H.264 AVC) and viewed (computers thus far along with Link Player) but it would nice to see some HD content other than whats available over the air.

Just a thought.

Patrick,

I just don't see the point right now. Besides the issue of who would actually buy the product in HD, how much better do you need to see the pores in my face?

My thoughts are various. One, it seems rather easy to start to cash in on the HD craze, Two, more detail, Three, it just seems like the natural progression giving the fact that Vegas 6 is centered around HD.

It was only a thought. :0)

Gary,

Your face is not the issue. I would like to see a clearer picture of the screen in the tutorial. My old eyes ain't so good anymore and any conversion from computer to SD is a loss in quality.

However, I don't think it would be worth the cost.

Your DVDs are great. I recently converted a friend to Vegas 5 and he received training DVDs with his purchase. He was still having a lot of trouble understanding the workflow, so I loaned him my copy of your DVDA disks. Two weeks later he purchased both of your DVD sets. I really appreciate the effort you went to get everything right. I still go back to disks because I don't do enough work to remember details from one time to the next.

Thanks, keep up the good work.

I am not sure I understand the "worth the cost" argument. Actually it would mean more profit would it not? Capture and edit in HD and then output to HD and SD. Costs nearly nothing for a digital copy if using web dsitribution. Either way, both HD/SD customers end up with a higher quality product.
