OT: Tripod/head question

Anyone know of a place in the US that carries a 100mm > 75mm adapter? I have a tripod with a 75mm half-bowl and need an adaptor for a 100 mm half-bowl head. I found both a 100mm - 75mm and a 75mm - 100mm but descriptions for both read the same - that the base is 100mm and allow heads with a 75mm to be used. I need it the other way around. Any ideas?

Filmy? I'm having difficulty in thinking of how one would make a bigger diam - from what is smaller? I can see going smaller .. but? Maybe Bob will have a view.

I'm listening ..

Something like this: G1424 Video Interface Bowl 100mm. The thing is I am not sure this owuld work because it seems to be for tripods without any bowl already.

that looks like it might work,, ......if only they gave the dimensions of the 2 lower stages.

1) There's a good reason why you don't see adaptors that go the other way around. 100mm heads are for heavier cameras than 75mm heads so putting a 100mm head onto sticks with a 75mm bowl might be pushing things a bit.

2) That gizmo from B&H might do what you want however as we've found with many of these things the trap is the length of the bolt on the head, sometimes it's too long, mostly it's too short, rarely it's just right when using adaptors.

Really the safest approach is to use the matching sized parts, even putting a 75mm head onto 100mm sticks is not without issue at times, we've had bits not have enough clearance etc.

I thought that too - not to USE heavier equipment might be the case. - G

Not that it is heaveir gear, just that I got a good deal on a tripod, come to find out it is a 75mm receptical. Most of the heads that go up to 20 lbs seem to have 100mm bowls.
I am just planning ahead - looking at maybe 10 - 12 pounds really. Allowing for things like matte box and such.
