OT: Turn off the opening "upgrade offer" pop ups?

I click "Don't show again" and guess what? Yep. Every time I open VP, it keeps popping up. Is there somewhere in settings that I can block these notices?

I think this could stop that:

Options > Preferences > General Tab > uncheck "Use Newsfeed to stay informed about Vegas product updates."
