OT: TV credits for music loop construction

Randy Brown wrote on 6/21/2006, 12:25 PM
I build music themes within our TV show using music loops. There are various ASCAP songs I use in the show ( licensed through PBS) and I list them in the credits but how should I list my loop construction ("music loop construction" just sounds dumb to me).
Thanks for your input,
Randy

Heck, aren't they pieces of music in their own right?

Any time you compose something using loops, it's your composition.

When you file the paperwork for who gets paid, you have to file according the rights given by the loops producer in the license, but I think that is a performer's royalty. This may be a good question for the Acid or Audio forums too.
