OT: Vegas hits 60 Minutes

Here in the U.S. 60 Minutes is a long running TV News magazine. Today they did a story on the Egyptian Arab Spring. During the course of the story they reported on the citizenry posting their stories to YouTube. Anyone recognize the following computer app?

The O.P. referred to 'citizenry' -- didn't suggest that the people doing the video projects were pros. The question I'd have was whether they were using legal copies of Vegas...

'Citizenry' using it is far different than if there were a shot of the edit bays and 60 Minutes were using it.

But at any rate, it's cool to see Vegas being spotlighted & shown.

btw, "citizenry" was my word, not 60 minutes. The may have used "people" or "protesters" or something similar - I just don't remember.
btw2: The lighting, background & use of lavalier mic in the preview screen indicates to me that the user is somewhat above the level of rank amateur.

Those are from the Mixing Console (use View | Mixing Console (Ctrl+Alt+6) to bring it up). Many people don't realize that the mixer was replaced with a complete mixing console that has a bunch more functionality for mixing audio. I use this all the time in my window layout for mastering audio.

Perhaps I dreamed this but I remember someone posting here a few years back that one of the big news magazines were indeed using Vegas. Don't remember if it was 60 minutes or 20/20 or what though.

My comment wasn't meant to be pejorative, it was only to point out that there's no indication that the workstation shown in the clip was that of a 'pro'.

For the record, I agree that it's good to see Vegas have a moment in the sun.
