OT: Vegas is for kids too!

Last night i recorded the elementary concert at one of the schools where i work. I used a digital mixer straight into Vegas, worked perfectly.

Afterward i stopped at the local ice cream shop for a treat and saw quite a few of the students who had performed were also there. I took out the laptop, set it down on the table in the middle of them, and pressed play. They were really excited to hear themselves. Of course, they wanted to hear their favorite song so i showed them how to jump around with the mouse, pause, play, shuttle, etc. It took these 10 year olds about 4 seconds to understand.

I wandered off to get my ice cream and when i came back they were doing simple edits and adding effects. Of course, they had also discovered that pressing J once plays backward! One kid looked at me and said "This program is so cool! What is it and where did you get it?"

Looks like the next generation is coming along nicely. :)
