All the hotels are actually ok for families, but you might want to check out the San Remo, no casino. There are several non-casino hotels off the strip as well. LaQuinta, and a few others. I"d be booking those now though.

The hotel won't matter much, its what they do while waiting.

Circus Circus has acts and an "amuesement park" for kids with rides etc. The rooms are pretty old, so I would stay there if I wanted to keep my wife happy.

I agree with Mr.Spot, most hotels now cater to families, MGM is a great place, we actually had a family Thanksgiving vacation there, 16 of us. Kids loved it, moms loved it, and Grandpa ,the boys and I lost our a@@ at the tables.
