My wife got me a flat screen PC monitor for Christmas as she knew my next PC I'm building is going to have dual flat monitors. The one question they asked my wife when buying the monitor is if she wanted a digital or analog monitor. She got the analog, which is good because I can use it on my current PC. So anyways I read in the literature for this monitor, if my video card has a Digital connector, then I just need to use a small DVI adapter.

So I guess my question is, what's the difference between a digital monitor and an analog monitor? What's the advantages vs disadvantages of each?
