OT: voiceover track missing

I burned a menu-based dvd with DVDA2 that has a music and voiceover track. It sounds fine on my computer and on my personal dvd player, but not on the dvd player that's hooked up to the TV set ---- the music track plays but not the voiceover.

Does anyone know how I can get the voiceover to play on the TV? thanks.

Perhaps the voice is only on the left and only the right channel is hooked up?

Perhaps the voice is on both channels but are "Y'd" together and are canceling each other out?

Does your TV have Stereo or Mono audio?

I had the jacks in the back of the TV connected improperly - now everything works!
