I find it really tedious to cycle through all the fonts installed on my machine to get the right one for a video title. Does anyone know of an easy way to print out all the fonts on my machine (i.e. compactly so it only takes a few pages, with name and sample text)?
I like simple tools, so Chuck's FontView works perfectly for me. It lets you enter a line of text and see what it looks like in all your system's fonts. It's a very simple, very useful piece of freeware.
There a few applications that automate the process like Printer's Apprentice which I think is cool.
It gives you the option of seeing just a character or most of the character set on screen by showing a sample printing out "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs" or more complex print outs for one, a few or all your fonts.
