OK,

So I bought another one. Too good to pass up. Picked it up today. That makes three of these in my system now.
Final cost $32 including tax.

120GB / $30 translates to about $1 per 4GBytes (roughly the size of a DVD). Thus, at this cost it doesn't cost much more to archive to hard disk than it does to DVD.
