OT Weird Windows problem

Running XP. This just starting to show up and makes no sense. Happens randomly.

I can have several drive letters expaned in Windows Explorer. I go about doing my thing, then after dozens of times of accessing a file in one of the thousands of folders, Windows "loses" all the folders in one or more of the open drives It reports either some Java script error (nuts) or some gibberish that makes no sense. I close Windows Explorer, open again and everything is fine.

Anyone else see this after installing the last automatic update ot two? I'm trying to remember exactly when it started, about two weeks ago or so.

Bill, my external 1394 & USB hard drives and DVD burners change drive letters daily. GO figure. However, this is with el cheapo XP Home; maybe the problems will go away with the Pro upgrade.

I've seen that too. I got the pro version of XP. Why I brought the pro version over the home version I don't know. Impulse I guess. Its mostly just more network support, automatic file encyption and stuff like that you really don't need. Live and learn.
