I got a Shuttle Pro 2 and an IOU for a Panasonic GS200. I couldn’t convince Santa that I needed the GS400. She... err... I mean... He wouldn’t go for it. I guess I wasn’t a good enough boy this year. :(

Aloha JohnnyRoy,
I'm sure you were a very good boy this year...can you say UltimateS? I really appreciate this tool. Keep'em coming. All the best to you and yours.

Hey Randy, Merry Christmas to you and your family. I actually have to agree with Santa on this one. I plan to buy a pro camera this year and I’ll still need a consumer camera to take on vacation. So I probably should just get something now that’s not too expensive to schlep to Disney. ;-)

I understand that. Wouldn't want to carry my PD-170 (my new toy) around the D' World for sure. I've got a Digital 8 but that just doesn't cut it anymore. 3 CCD's have spoiled me. Happy holidays!

P.S. BBQ'ing on the beach today.

I got to my kids smile and be excited as they opened thier gifts. I didn't get anything but watching the kids open stuff was a gift in itself for me and the wife.

My little boy is 2 and last Christmas, we had to help him and open all his gifts. This year he tore through the paper like nothing and he loaned his new found experience to his 9 month old sister as he helped her to open her gifts this year.

I guess i gave me own present though I finsihed my script entirely last nigh after setting out the presents.

BBQ on the beach sounds awesome. God I miss Florida. Zero below temps here today.

Sounds silly but I received the nicest note possible from a mom on a video I produced and delviered last week. She gave my video to her daughter for Christmas and the mom enjoyed it even more than the daughter.

This from a woman doing a home movie next to me in the auditorium last year that thought the $20 I cahrge for the videos was over priced. The real clincher was that she made sure I had her order for another one thats coming after the Band's trip to London for the New Years Parade.

That was the best Christmas present possible.

My five year old daughter got her first "BIG" Girl bike this year, 20" and it didn't take 2 minutes before she fell - hard. She got up laughing, and I got it on tape. That was my present.

I read somewhere that a good way to teach a kid to ride a bike is to tie a sweatshirt around her waist and then you hold the ends taught, This will keep her upright as she goes forward and then eventually when she gets the hang of it, you give his more slack and then finally let go.

Santa brought me a B&H gift certificate. (I was hoping I would get one for all my gifts so I could buy an NTSC monitor.
I Vegas training DVD.
On DVD I got :
Hero (amazing cinematography by Christopher Doyle)
a W.C Fields collection
and Miller's Crossing (also great cinematography)

OK, off to my uncle's for stage 2 of Xmas.

EDIT: I also got the Instant Sound Forge book.

I got a set of 8 different licensed music cd's that I've really been yearning for to use with the video projects I have lined up to shoot and edit in the New Year. Have been sitting back previewing and they are sound great.

Wish everyone a warm, safe and wonderful holiday season. It's freezing cold here in Ontario, Canada -envy those in warmer climes.

JR was a VERY good boy this year. Santa must have treated him really good.
Looking forward to that BBQ on the beach, Randy. Christmas Eve in Honolulu is a blast. The fireworks, the carolers, the people on the streets....the air is charged with something very unique that I've never experienced before.

I got a new cell phone!

Oh, well, some of us have "deferred" wish lists.

Best of the New Year to all!

At that age, the best present is always the empty box. Makes a great ship or car or plane or ...

JR and family will have to come over and visit one year. Had a super time at the BBQ. The day couldn't have been better...great weather, great folks, good food, good waves, and even a monk seal came calling. What a day! We simply have to do this every year. Anyone want to spend Christmas day on a Hawaiian beach?
Aloha,
Randy

Count me in for next year too, Randy! Dang but you can cook.
randy-stewart wrote on 12/25/2004, 11:18 PM
Thanks Spot but I think starving you for a couple hours while forcing you to hit the waves (yeah right) had somethiing to do with how good the food tasted, eh? Serioius about next now, don't forget. I'll put in for a cabin on the same beach next year. You can watch the sunset and rise...of couse you may need your sunglasses for that ;-).
