I deliver my work on DVD.
I make sure to never exceed 8,000,000 when encoding and I use Taiyo-Yuden media exclusively.

Same here.

When I burn I make sure nothing else is running on that PC. I most always prepare with DVDA but burn with Nero and use Verify Written Data. It has made a difference once or twice.

Same here Taiyo-Yuden inkjet printable media burned no faster than 2X even
though the media takes faster.

Where pro tape is used I prefer Sony.

Keith - tell us about the playback system; was it a standalone dvd player, laptop, or...? Given the choice I would always playback on a dvd player that I brought.

I do not have many specifics on the Funeral home's standalone player. I was really asking the braintrust for DVD writer (hardware) as well. I see that Taiyo-Yuden is the leader with you guys. Now I wonder if the hardware might be the cause (or I want to buy several of the ones that you all have great luck with) I have several types, whatever Compusa (at the time) had on special. I have several Toshiba, Maddog, Phillips, several Lite-on, HP, several Generics.

Pioneer or Lite-On, whichever is getting the best reviews on NewEgg at the time.

<edit>
Currently what we burn as master discs are from LiteOn drives. Any duplication is done with Pioneer drives in one, and NEC 3550 in another (NEC's are no longer made I don't think)
