OT: Which PAR is it for the HC7???

I'm confused - does the HC7 record at 1440x1080 or 1920x1080???

I haven't gotten the cameras yet, but I seem to be finding conflicting information with regards to HDV format. Also, since the camera shoots in 1080i - is it upper field or lower field??? What about deinterlacing - since many cameras and HDTV's are now progressive, what is the best solution for deinterlacing footage to look its best when shown on a progressive TV?

I've seen too many instances of interlacing from shooters using apps like Final Cut Pro and it is quite annoying. I want to do it right the first time and any advice on this would be appreciated.

HDV is 1440x1080 UFF.
most stuff i do i dont convert to progressive in Vegas but I often render to 24p widescreen DVDA format.
I'm not looking for the 24p look it just sometimes saves disc space.
Other than that i keep it all at the HDV 60i (USA) project settings and rendering.

you might find this link to be of some help in understanding some of the formats.
1080 HDV is always 1.333, and 720 HDV is always 1.0.
