Anyone see the tv series "Vegas" (or have the dvds?) ... wow talk about some wild push-ins... not sure how they do those, looks like they start with helicopter shots then push all the way through everything from elevator shafts to more, using sfx ...

anyone see those? they're a bit overdone imo, but still an impressive visual effect, these multi-mile 7-second pushes they do ... neat to see the camera work on these types of shows nowadays...

they pretty easy to pull off id you have access to outside teh building and at teh point of entry to the buildng (lets say a window) you can pick up where that initial shot left off..

I did a couple of these for a corporate client here in Syd in pyrmont (96.9 radio where the walkway is jsut outside teh Anzaaac bridge entry) and took afew shots from outside, and zoomed into the window.. then i piked up the shot from that same window and continued internally.. workd a treat and people freaked out a bit when tehy saw it as they werent expecting that kind of continuity.

I am really beginning to hate those techniques. They remind me of 24P pans, blinky, blinky, blinky, blinky. Strictly for kids.

I'm pretty sure there are some software sfx utilization in those shots, I've seen a special on it some time ago, and there's some frame generation that is applied (from the sounds of it to get the real slick looking stuff, it'll take a decent amount of time, course, what doesn't).
