OT:Windows Activationssss

The last 3 or 4 times I turned on my computer I got the message that I have changed the hardware on my computer and that I would have to reactivate Windows XP (Pro). I have NOT changed my computer and it is getting annoying. Does anybody know how to stop this cycle. BTW: Everytime I go on line and activate I get the message that the activation was successfull.
Thanks,
Barry

If you call on the phone and talk to the person in Bombay, they can tell you how to stop this. I've forgotten, but I was going through this as well, and finally called them out of desperation.

The last time I had to do this It took me too long to convince the person I was not installing the software on several identical computers.

People who work with video and multi-track audio find that their machine frequently misbehaves because of the adjustments made by some "helper" program that was auto installed, or deliberately installed, or uninstalled but left a few settings in the registry that caused everything to become just enough out of whack to cause dropouts in multiple streams of audio.

I was in the regular practice of ghosting my boot drive. But since XP came out (my XP pro disc was bought the very day it was released) I have had three different ghost restores in a row that failed and forced me to completely reinstall.

I ma hesitating now because I replaced my system drive and since then I can no longer do some updates and several programs are out of whacj again but I dread the attempt at restoring the OS.
