OT: Windows Media Player--Without Internet Connection?

I have Windows Media Player 8 on my NLE computer, which is not connected to the Internet. Can I download WMP9, copy the file to a CD and load it on the other computer?

Thanks! Someone had told me, I think, that it required an Internet connection, unlike other players. Maybe I misunderstood them.

You should probably download the codec package as well. Since your computer isn't connected to the internet you won't be able to download codecs if they aren't installed on your system.

The player you can download and install later is called the network instalation. I ge tthose all the time. :)
