Does anybody own one of these?

Last time I was shooting on a jib, I moved the arm too fast, too far and gave my monitor cable (a "S" cable) a good hard YANK! Would this gaget be a good way to keep my cables nice and friendly? If not, how do you keep your big cables (like the S cable) from potentially damaging their sockets?
Thanks!

We use "hairballs." The little balls that little girls use in their hair to make pony tails? They work GREAT for cable keepers, and they're dirt, dirt cheap. About .99 for 50.
We keep a small amount of cable coiled on the jib arm, tripod, dolly, whatever, just in case we get closer to the end than we'd like to be and things start to stretch.

Thanks very much Sir Spot. A MUCH more economical tactic. I appreciate the pro advice!
