ok, maybe it's because it's late, and I'm short on sleep, but I watched this video a friend posted on facebook from youtube, and I laughed until I cried, and then I laughed some more. Maybe it won't strike you as funnily as it did me, but I thought that everyone should get to experience this full on double rainbow.... whatever it means... (be aware I think there is a muddled f-word in there at one point, but it's kinda muddled)

make sure to read the last sentence of the description. I'm pretty sure he had a 'slightly skewed perspective' with regards to it's appearance, lol.

Ha! My daughter just pointed me to this video last night. She also recommends Double Rainbow - the Song:

The audio scared my cats! They ran and hid under the bed. I was tempted to join them.

One thing confuses me. Way over on the right side of the curve is a very very bright spot that looks like the sun behind a cloud. It can't be though because the sun must be behind the camera operator. So what is that bright spot?

"So what is that bright spot?"Whoa! Oh my God! What can this mean? {grin}

Hey Kelly, Jerry ...
at the beginning of the clip, you are able to notice a light near the tent... no flickering like a fire or a candle - or perhaps a battery-powered or hard-wired light... so, the shadow of the mountain is enough to bring on the lights ...
He walks by a couple of hanging baskets on his way to a better shot of the entire rainbow... that indicates to me that he may be in someone's (or his) own backyard - regardless of the tent setup.
So, if there is a light by the tent that is on, there may be some other security lights hanging from other spots in the yard (or along the trail) ...
I don't believe that light could come from the sun, or even be a reflection of the sun off of something - it was there in the initial shot, and his movement did not eliminate it... so, it must not be his position relative to a reflection...
Someone could go look through all 38,000 comments to see if the questions has been answered there - hmmmm...

UPDATE: Well, I copied all 52 pages of comments ( [/b]All Comments[/b] (38,621) )and did a search for terms like bright and light without success ... anyone have any other terms I might use in a search?

It is curious ...

Until that time... Earl J.

Oh, geez, I hate to start to get serious over a topic like this, but could the light be a sun dog?

He does say "in my own backyard" at 02:30.
I gotta say though what I'm impressed with is the second video...and "Auto-tune the news"...that stuff is brilliant!

Oh Randy,
I heard it, then promptly forgot he said it ... I'm putting on an old KKK hood (the redneck dunce cap) I found in the neighbor's trash and going to sit in the corner now... (sigh)
(I know, there is sooo much wrong on this post on sooo many levels, it'll just have to wait for another thread... or for someone to make it a thread of its own ... LOL)

Until that time... Earl J.
