"Out Point" works in preview but not on burned DVD

I set an out point for an old clip from another project that I was using in the new project, but that I didn't want the last 5 to 10 seconds of because of some title graphics that were no longer appropriate (and I don't have the original vegas project anymore to go in and re-render without the end titles).

So, I set an out point in the clip editor right before those graphics appeared. When previewing it in DVDA it works perfectly and the clip stops right where I sent the outpoint and returns to the menu. When I burned it onto a DVD-RW disc to test on my JVC DVD player, that clip played all the way through the old ending, right past the "out point" and showed the unwanted graphics.

Is this a bug in DVDA? Or are these markers that are actually set in the clip that are supposed to tell the DVD Player to stop at a certain point? This is a relatively new JVC DVD player that I bought last year because it would play any disc I put into it, whereas my old Sony DVD player doesn't play rewritable discs and is very picky about the DVD-R discs that it will accept. Is it something with the player or a bug in DVD-A? Do I have to force DVDA to re-render the clip so it will cut off the end? Or maybe I should just import the MPG into V4 and trim the end and re-render?

Thanks for the help!

Steve
