I have just started trying to use some outboard processing. I am running Vegas using a Nuendo Audio link and I am mixing within Vegas (no mixing board). When I send a drum mix to the out board compressor and try to mix it in with the unprocessed drums. It sounds like I'm having some phase cancelation. I am assuming that this is from the slight delay of having sent a submix out to the compressor and back. How can I use outboard effects without ecountering this problem.
