Output 3 channels of audio for SAP??

This is a new one for me so someone more familiar with this might be able to help.

We have a client that wants us to make a DigiBeta master of one of their programs, they want to have the stereo audio on channels 1 and 2, and then they want a SAP audio channel which from what I can tell is simply another audio track on the 3rd channel. Is there any way for Vegas to output 3 audio tracks simultaneously. We would most likely go firewire out to a DSR-2000 DVCam deck and then into our Sony DigiBeta Deck.

You can't do this directly from Vegas- DV = two tracks out only. Since you have serial controllable decks you could hook those together and lay in the 3rd channel audio in a second pass from DV- a tape-to-tape edit.

Since you need to lay off the audio twice to DVCAM, use the 2000's "Make TC" function, set to say hour 1- that will give you identical source TC for pass 1 & 2 and should make the sync to the beta master much easier.
