Output Help


Working with 5b and I can't get video on output monitor - tv.
On the capture side using vidcap everything is fine. See on both - tv and preview. Audio - no problems.
Edit using three video tracks and one audio.
Tk. 1 has text for approx. 8-10 frames
Tk. 2 has a still shot approx. 6-12 frames under the text
Tk. 3 has full length of video
Tk. 4 audio

In the preview this works perfectly. On two - three occasions, in the past three days, I have had video on the output monitor. When on the monitor, the video is b&w and when the text and still shot overlay starts the output monitor goes blank - but the preview is perfect. Once past the overlay area the output monitor would again show video. No problems with the audio during this time and no indication of sys problems.
The video preview button - external monitor doesn't function - and when it did, I had the b&w video but normally when clicked nothing happens.

Tried:
Swapping cables - all cables
Checked the output monitor and works fine - works fine on input side
Didn't reinstall 5b but did use the rebuild option and seemed fine
No response from ASUS - possibly reinstall bios

I'm trying to determine if hardware and bios or 5b. About three wks ago I had to completely reinstall everything because of a read/write issue and from that point to present, I have had loads of problems. I almost think the mobd is bad - ASUS P4P800 - never had a mobd go flakey in 14 - 15 yrs., but this may be the first.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
