Output Problem

Feed to NTSC monitor is intermittent.
Sometimes,---but not always blue screens at transition points.
Shuttling forward,---NTSC screen goes to blue as though not able to keep up.
All appears normal on timeline.
Changed s-video cable,----but no difference.
Turned digital cam off and on,---maybe to reset.
Rebooted a few times.
Wonder if we need to change a setting,---but everything looks ok in preferences.
Just bringing back this project to add some media before render.
No past problem like this.
Any suggestions?
Grateful for any solutions.

Sounds like a very common OHCI problem.
1. What OHCI card do you have?
2. System resources/are any sharing with the 1394/OHCI card?
3. What is the latest patch you've downloaded for XP? Running SP2?
4. Any active NIC, CPU cooler, or other resource that comes on/off as you use the system?
Do you have Recompress Frames turned on in your Options/Prefs? (you should)

Hi Spot.
Just installed M-Audio Delta 44 with breakout box.
Should have mentioned that.
Could that have an effect?

Easily it could have an effect if you've got new symptoms on your machine.
I'd be looking at resources in your Control Panel. See what the sound card is occupying. It's also possible that you've got 2 sound cards enabled, depending on how your motherboard is set up.

Old soundcard was SoundMAX.
Sort of piggy-backs onto motherboard.
Control Panel indicates not endabled.
M-Audio appears there.
