Hi, I have posted this question before and haven't gotten an answer. So here goes again. I am trying to output 8 tracks of audio to 8 different channels on the Motu 828. All 8 tracks are coming out as stereo on each separate channel. can vegas output the tracks separately? Do I have to change something in the audio set up?
thanks.

I'll give it a shot....my DAW's have PCI 324 cards, though.

Does the 828 have MOTU console??
If so, and If you want to choose the analog outs, enable routing, tick enable mono routing, choose the output sources for the bank of 8 that are active.

In Vegas:

Properties>Audio>Stereo Busses - Choose 4.
Route the 4 busses to 1/2, 3/4, etc...
Insert audio track, assign to bus, then pan L or R for Odd & even.

Of course I probably just wasted my time as I'm making an assumption that the 828 has a similar MOTU console as the 324.

The 828's console is a good start. Also you will need to do the setup with the Vegas Mixer. Just like inputs - your outputs must be routed properly. Remeber your track I/O's as well. Setting to mono or stereo and where they are routed are important.

Use bussing if you wish to have numerous tracks go to a specific output.

The 828 console will do much of the work for you - with your tweaking the right areas. I use the 828's console/mixer more than the Vegas mixer due to it's control of the 828's/Vegas features.
