There's not a performer on the planet who hasn't been there -- though these kids handled it pretty well.

Reminds me of a time in Quebec City when the stage power went out in the middle of a Doobie Brothers tune, of all things. Our group just kept singing the chorus of "Listen to the Music" over and over a capella until the power came back on. Got us through, and we got held over an extra week. BTW. it was a 2,000 seat venue, circa 1977-1978.

Pushing forty years in the biz, and proud to say we've never lip-synched a note the entire time. The number of times I've used either vocal or instrumental backing tracks in that time I can count on one hand without using my thumb.

Ray,
great outtake!, but I must say I am more impressed with musivd's history, and him working with the Doobies

DISCLAIMER:Ted,
Make no mistake, I never worked with the Doobies or anyone famous, just covered some of their tunes, sometimes better than others.

We worked the midwest and Canadian club and hotel circuit during much of the seventies along with a number of other groups, many of whom had much bigger names than us. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything, nor would I do it again.
