Just wanted to say thanks to the Sony team for the overall speed improvement to the forums.
For example, the "NEW Rendertest-HDV.veg" thread used to take me at least 30 sec. to load all the posts.
Now it takes around 5 sec.
THANKS FOLKS!!
I look at this board every day and I'm very grateful with the speed improvements. Thank you Sony for finally listening to us. Now go get Vegas 64 bit ready for us :)
So after years of this forum performing at lightning speed for me while everyone else complains, now today i've had near endless timeouts and in most cases when i do get the next page to come up it can take several minutes.
Same here in the states. The performance has been all over the place today. Not surprising, given the comments made by the sysop, something to the effect that the changes were patches, or temporary, or stopgaps.
[Edit] I should be careful what I post. Ten seconds after I posted this, it took almost four minutes to be able to get the next message on the forum to appear on my screen (i.e., the forum completely locked up).
I use IE7 and at first everything was super fast. But a couple times something happened to lock things up and I had to jump off and come back to the website to get things to work again, and they did work OK.

We had some server problems over the weekend, not forum specific. We're still working on one issue, but for the most part everything should be back to normal now.
I've noticed that the forum is a good amount faster in IE than Firefox, not sure why that would be. I've actually had pages stall out and give me an error in Firefox but come up fine in IE. Overall though this forum is still one of the slowest I visit.
