Overlaid Titler

Premiere Pro has a titling tool that you can just edit on top of your preview (instead of in a separate window).
Is there any titler for Vegas that works that way?
It seems like that's being used more - now we have a Picture-In-Picture and Crop tool that works that way.

Somewhat. You can size and position your text by clicking on the preview window, but you cannot edit or type directly into the preview window. This would be a good thing for the devs to look into adding.
