Overlapping Beats/Voices

Today was my first day using Vegas Video 3.0 so I apologize if I sound ignorant. I need some help...

How can I get Vegas to overlap audio tracks...I'm using CD Architect to create audio mixes and there I can overlap one track over another and still hear both tracks once I'm done (i.e. having the beginning of a song playing over the end of the previous song). However when I import my cdp projects to Vegas my blends are gone and all I end up with is one track beginning exactly where the first leaves off. I've tried playing with the settings but nothing seems to work. Can somebody help...Thanks!!!

It sounds like you've turned off Automatic Crossfades. Go to the Options menu and turn it back on, then it should behave the way you're used to from CDA.

Don't forget -

Since Vegas is a multi-track program, if you need to do even more complex crossfades, you can place material on different tracks and adjust volume envelopes & fades to your hearts' content - and STILL put your track indexes wherever you want them. This is even more powerful than the already powerful CDA.
