OK, I'm really having issues I guess. I think I need to stick with Notepad, Paint, and Windows Movie Maker for all my multimedia needs!!!! Apparently VMS is toooo advanced for me :O
I make an arrow on a transparent background in PS. Save it as a .png. Bring it in and put it on the track above the video, but I can't move it (using Pan/Crop) thoughout the whole window without it disappearing before it reaches the edges of the previewer. It acts like it has it's own window, and yes I matched the output aspect ratio. Thanks again, still, some more, never ending............. Cin

How odd. Matching output aspect *is* the proper solution for this. Very bizarre. What are your project properties? What are the dimensions of the image?

Have you tried using one of the arrows in the WingDings or Symbol fonts?

Track motion is better suited for moving content around. I usually just use Pan / Crop if I need to zoom in or mask media.

Sorry it took so long to say thanks Kelly and Rob for the help. That was the most quirky project I've ever done :O I finished, and turned the computer off for a week! Kelly, I did do the wingding thing, after you mentioned it, and suddenly all my other arrows started working just like they have for years! What's up with that??? And Rob, I have to agree that the Pan/Crop is much easier to use. Thank you both. Cin
PS. I have had Adobe Premeire CS4 for several months as part of a suite of other Adobe products that I use. After my last VMSP project, I decided to open it and give it a try. Looks like a very steep learning curve, but maybe some benefits in the long run?? Anyone have any experience with it? Thanks
