I created a DVD for a client and know they want to send it to India. They want to know whether it will work in India? So I ask you the experts, will it? Or do I have to author another disc in PAL format? If so, how do I do it?

It depends... if they have a region free player, then yes, they should be able to play it. If they do not, make sure that India is a PAL area (simple google search) when you are in Vegas, use the PAL DVDA template when you go to save your video.

Burned DVDs are region free, so that shouldn't be a consideration. Also most PAL players will play NTSC format DVD's (certainly you have better luck with compatability with NTSC on a PAL player than PAL on an NTSC player).
