P2 Folder Weirdness

Title says it all: I have a Empty Contents Folder Inside Contents/Video Folder

There is nothing in the mysterious sub directory (s) .

Folder "SS1" was copied from Mac Format Drive to Windows Format Drive and a few files in said folder were played in Vegas Pro but I'm not understanding how that would cause the folder to appear.

That is totally weird.

Did you have two P2 cards in the camera and only have content on one card? Maybe that empty structure is the other empty P2 card, and it just got copied accidentally. Maybe some stray clicks here and there?

I think P2 viewer creating a directory when I go to "setting virtual P2 cards"

Oddly, even after setting the virtual P2 card by navigating to a P2 directory, I am not able to view the virtual card in P2 viewer.

Its weird because I recall doing the same thing on a mac and it worked as expected

though i might be doing something wrong

I've never had P2 viewer actually create a folder and structure, there might be something else going on there.

Its possible that because of the additional folders in the virtual P2 that P2 Viewer doesn't recognize the folder structure. If you delete the empty set, does it play back normally?

It doesn't seem to matter because I can test using various directories/paths and p2 media that is on my local hard drive.

I must be doing something wrong because I can start from scratch and still cant view local p2 media in p2 viewer.

what i tried:

launch p2 viewer

go to Tool > Setting Virtual P2 Cards

browse to: desktop\myp2folder\Contents\Video

or: desktop\myp2folder\Contents

or: desktop\myp2folder

go to View > Show the Primary BIN > All Virtual P2 Cards

or: go to View > Show the Primary BIN > All Virtual P2 Cards

or:desktop\myp2folder\Contents\Video

or: desktop\myp2folder\Contents

or: desktop\myp2folder

No matter what I try I can see any p2 media/directory/anything in p2 viewer....just empty panes.
