Page Loop Fly Out

Hi! I’ve got a transition problem that I hope someone will be able to help me solve.

I have three video tracks…

1. Top: Text Event on a transparent background. Fade-in with a “Page Loop” transition so the text appears to fly-in to the scene.
2. Middle: Still with a logo that I’ve chroma-keyed the background color.
3. Bottom: Motion avi background.

The “Page Loop” transition works very nicely, but I’d like to have the same text fly-out at the end of the event (similar to the “Fly Out” option in the “3D Fly In/Out” transition).

Here’s what I’ve tried:

1. Placing the same transition at the end of the Top track and using the velocity envelope to reverse that section of the event. Doesn’t work because the text doesn’t fly – only the translucent page.
2. Rendering the fade in Page Loop transition of tracks 1 & 2, then inserting the new avi at the end of track 1. Set velocity envelope to reverse. Chroma-keying the background color so the motion video on track three shows. This worked better, but I got an unacceptable abrupt change to the color of my text shadow (black then black/blue).

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
…Jerry

How about this:

1) Make the "Fade in" the entrie length of the event!
2) Add your transition to the fade-in
3) Insert a transition envelope
4) Add keyframes so that is starts at 0%, goes to 100% at the beginning and then at the end add two more keyframes going from 100% to 0%.

jetdv,

Works like a champ!! I was making this entirely too complicated.
