Page peels without light?

Is there any way to do a page peel (or page loop or page roll) without the light effect? I can make the "page" transparent, but the light refuses to go. I'm basically just looking for a 3D curling effect, but without messing up the whole frame.

Maybe you can try changing the color to a darker shade so it doesn't seem like light. Or you can download the WAX plug-in from Debugmode that should help with the 3D effect you want to pull.
