PAL DVD from NTSC footage - Workflow?

I created a slideshow on DVD for a customer with music, voiceovers, etc. This is all SD work

She has relatives in England who want a PAL DVD.

Should I create a PAL AVI in Vegas then encode in DVDA3 or should I feed an NTSC avi file to DVDA3 and let it do the conversion?

Also, project settings show a couple of horizontal sizes for PAL (720 or 704) which do I use?

Thanks,

RalphM

Best to do the conversion in Vegas. 720 is the standard PAL horizontal.

Or, try sending a NTSC copy. Most PAL DVD players here in England when fed a NTSC disc convert this to PAL (actually PAL with NTSC frame rate), which most PAL TVs will play.

Thanks Mark,

That's good to know. I also have located a PAL DVD player that I can test on when finished
