PAL to NTSC conversion in Vegas 9

I did a search both in my manual and on this forum before posting this question. But I didn't find any answer.

Could anyone here talk me through converting a PAL (Reg 2 U.K..) DVD to the NTSC standard in Vegas 9? Thanks.

Dump your PAL material on the timeline and render to an NTSC template.

Probably the only change i would make is to disable resampling.

Be prepared for some loss of quality, but that is unavoidable.

is the target internet or DVD?

if DVD, you could take the 25fps media, slow it down to 23.976 (4% speed drop), then render to DVD using the MainConcept mpeg-2 preset that has "23.976+2:3 pulldown" ("DVD Architect 24p NTSC Widescreen video stream" for example)
