PAL to NTSC - how easy!

A client wanted a copy of a recently produced DVD to take to Miami. As I'd heard that not all NTSC players will also play PAL I though I'd better give her an NTSC version.

Open the PAL project - Save as XXXNTSC Version - Change Project properties to NTSV video - Prepare and burn - leave DVDA to it and it's done. Brilliant.

Easy, yes, but how did it look? Though I suppose a PAL->NTSC conversion would look a lot better than an NTSC->PAL conversion.

How long did it take? And were the files in the project MPEG2 or AVI?

It looked fine Rob - some text titles were a little "fizzy" but the video footage itself converted extremely well.

The original files were already MPEG2. Duration was 17 min and it took about 35 minutes to re-render. (Dual AMD 2000+, 2Gb ram)
