Pan/Crop

Long time since I've used Vegas Studio, and new to Vegas Pro 14 so please bare with me. In the pan/crop window I believe there used to be a short cut so you could see all of the lines and adjusters on the screen at once? (that F thing and stuff) What does that 'f' stand for anyway? I know what I call it, but probably not it! ;) After I make a mask, I want to be able to Pan/Crop the part of the mask that shows, but I don't see the 'F' and stuff? Also, on test video I don't seem to be able to get the cursor on the Pan/Crop window to follow the cursor on the main screen even though I have 'sync cursor' selected. Any help is always appreciated. Thanks. Cin

The "F", I would assume, stands for "Flip" ... To see it, you need to click on the upper timeline of the Pan/Crop dialogue. There are two timelines within Pan/Crop, one for keyframing the pan/crop and the other for "masks". They both cannot be seen at the same time in the Pan/Crop window. But as you adjust the part of the mask that shows using pan/crop you will see it in your Video Preview window. "Sync cursor" should be working if it is depressed. It will only work for the event in Pan/crop.

The letter F is there so you can see what rotation is applied. The letter is not symmetrical about either the X or Y axis, that is how it was chosen.

Big thank you! Not having used Pro before, was not aware of having to select which attribute to view. Thanks again for the prompt and accurate answer. Cin
