Pan/crop broken?

Just trying out MovieStudio 13, last used v9. I'm trying to insert a few dozen photos into a video at various positions within the frame. Pan/crop used to be fine for this in v9. However, in v13 it will not allow me to move the image outside the original image bounds set when the image is dropped on the timeline, so I can't place a portrait image on the left or right, only in the centre.

Track motion works, but that moves the entire track and I want to have more than one picture on screen at once (preferably without having to faff with multiple tracks and keyframing). Is there no way to reposition an event using event properties any more?

Aha! It's OK, I realised I had forgotten to R-click in the pan/crop window and set the frame to Match Output Aspect. Now I can resize and position it properly...
