pan crop - default to the first keyframe and sync the cursor?

A bit of frustration here, I use pan crop a lot on events, and what happens more often than I would like, is that I start doing my pan crop stuff, and realizing to late I am not in the beginning of the event due to my cursor not being in the beginning...

I then reset everything, move the cursor (or move to the first keyframe), and start over...

Is there any way to have both worlds that if you open pan crop it defaults to the first keyframe (no matter where the cursor is on the event) but still syncs the cursor (I do not mind if the cursor jumps to the beginning)?

If not that would be a nice feature...

The pan/crop cursor currently defaults to the first frame but only when syncing isn't activated.no matter where the timeline cursor is on the video event. When I occasionally need to use syncing for keyframing pan/crop, it's just a matter of activating the sync icon. But all too often I forget to turn off syncing before exiting pan/crop.

I understand what you are seeking, but it wouldn't work for me if the timeline cursor defaults to the start of the video event - unless this only applies when syncing is already active - because with my pan/crop work not needing keyframing (which is most), the first frame is mostly hidden because the first frame is within a dissolve (which I use a lot), which would mean I'd have to juggle video events on the timeline in order to clear the first frame from the dissolve - time and time again.

Interesting. When this happens to me (on occasion), I just right-click and "CUT" the keyframe where I just made all the adjustments, move to the first keyframe, and then PASTE it on that keyframe - then I don't have to "start over."

@jetdv Indeed, I sometimes do that to, it just depends on my current mood or frustration!
